The Muto Years - Paperback

by Justin Knipper (Foreword by), Jonathan Foye (Author)

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...

From 2002 to 2011, Keiji Muto was the President of All Japan Pro Wrestling. Leading All Japan after the cataclysmic roster split, Muto introduced elements of Americanised 'sports entertainment' to a traditional wrestling product.

Alongside classic matches and a revered Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship reign, this time period is remembered for All Japan's roster adding new names. Muto's presidency is also remembered for a sharp decline in All Japan's business and for its tragic ending which changed a wrestler's life forever.

Through exclusive interviews with those who were there, The Muto Years explores one of the most controversial eras in Japanese professional wrestling. The direct follow up to Ganbaru: How All Japan Pro Wrestling Survived the Year 2000 Roster Split, readers will experience all the ups and downs of Pro Wres Love.
