"A psychological tale buoyed by slow-burn suspense and moral debate that pits a dying man against his father's killer."
A dying man has two months left to live.
Just enough time to demand a confession.
When Chuck Grayson was twelve, his father died in police custody. Authorities called it a drunken fall. Case closed.
Chuck never believed it.
Now sixty-five and dying of liver cancer, Chuck finally learns the truth. The man responsible for his father's death is alive.
And he's a Catholic priest.
Once a cop hardened by the streets, the priest now hides behind a Roman collar and the sanctity of the confessional.
Chuck confronts him in the one place the priest believes he is untouchable.
The confessional.
Inside the dark wooden booth, the rules are clear.
The priest hears sins.
He grants absolution.
But Chuck isn't seeking forgiveness.
Each visit becomes a psychological duel, confession after confession, as Chuck forces the priest to confront the truth buried for decades.
The Church calls it the sacrament of reconciliation.
Chuck calls it justice.
And with time running out, he must decide:
Will he force a confession...
or commit the ultimate sin?
