by Mildred Lewis Rutherford (Author)
Truths Of History is a historical book written by Mildred Lewis Rutherford in 1920. The book provides a comprehensive overview of the history of the United States, focusing on the events leading up to the Civil War and the war itself. Rutherford argues that the Civil War was not fought over slavery, but rather over the states' rights to govern themselves. She also provides a detailed account of the role of women in the war effort and argues that they played a crucial role in supporting the Confederate cause. The book is written in a lively and engaging style and provides a unique perspective on American history. Rutherford's views have been controversial, and the book has been criticized for its historical inaccuracies and its promotion of racist and sexist ideas. Nonetheless, it remains an important historical document and a fascinating read for anyone interested in the history of the United States. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
