Everywhere I went, I replied, "You probably don't know him," but I never said what I was thinking.

You gain your identity through your father. He tells you who you are and gives you his name. He communicates to you what it means to be a member of your family, and he instills a sense of pride in who you are.
But when you don't know him or have no received his validation, how do you gain self-identity?
My resolution didn't come from finding the man whose image I had never seen, but rather in the shadow that was always there.
In Made In his Image, but His Shadow Is All I've Seen, I invited you to journey with me in my search for my long-lost father and my own self. Perhaps my journey will lead you toward your own personal discoveries. I started out looking for one outcome, but what I found changed my life forever.
