Product Description

by Zelda Edelson (Author)

This is a book of the paintings and some poetry by Zelda Edelson. She paints in the tradition of Abstract Expressionism, largely with acrylic paints on canvas, occasionally with pastels. The book also includes some of her personal history, her own journey into painting, and two of her poems. Zelda was born in Philadelphia, lived in Oklahoma and Massachusetts, and raised her three children outside of New Haven, CT. She was married to Marshall Edelson, MD, PhD, who was a Professor of Psychiatry at Yale University. Zelda had a 20 plus year career as the Editor of Print at the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History. In addition to editing books, Zelda edited the natural history magazine, Discovery. After retiring Zelda returned to Mainline Philadelphia where she lives and paints.
