How many puncture wounds will you sustain while being dragged from your cell by these dogs? You have no friends here; no one gives a damn about you. Everyone looks out for number one - that's simply the way it is here. The living conditions are horrendous beyond your imagination, along with the odors, loud screaming, and the never-ending mule kicking of the cell doors can become unbearable. Each day resembles the day before as you will awake filled with an agonizing fear and panic of the unknown and face this day filled with frightening, evil, and disgusting events. You can very well die here as just another statistic. Another warm body will replace yours soon. If you are a juvenile sentenced to an adult prison you will become "fresh meat" for the predators who will be lurking around every corner, in the showers, and the yard just waiting for that opportune moment. It will happen. How does being raped daily sound to you? How about 18 times a day as you are passed around to others? It won't matter if you are heterosexual or gay, you will play the female role. It's possible for you to be subjected to abuse at the hands of the trusting correctional officers? It happens, as over the years some officers have acquired a substantially low tolerance for the bullshit they deal with daily. Not all are here to simply keep you safe. If you have been sentenced to death you may find my chapter on methods of execution interesting; actually it's horrific. Are you aware that when execution is carried out in the electric chair, tape is placed over your eyes because they melt? There is no painless way to die. Are you aware the average age of inmates on death row is between 20-29? There is no "sugar coating" anything in my book; it's total fact. Inmates who survive prison and are then released have their own stories to tell; most likely they are true, but this is what you don't know about prison and how vulnerable you will be. I can walk out of this place each day, but you can't You will be shackled like an animal, and all doors will now be opened for you. This is a shockingly evil and forbidden place. I've learned, as I enter this hellish place each day, to leave my compassion and feelings at the front door. Prison life actually needs to be experienced to be believed. Hopefully you will find the contents of this book absolutely shocking, frightening, disgusting and totally compelling. If so, I've done my job. If any of the information here keeps just one young person out of this place, it has been worth it to me. Pass this book around to others who may be in danger of incarceration; the information may very well save their lives, or keep them out of this hell.
