Product Description

by Dorene Marcus Corothers (Author)

After working several years for an internationally known hotel chain in the housekeeping department she was promoted to a supervisory position and shortly thereafter recognized as Employee of the Month and Employee of the Year. She was offered a management position a year later and enjoyed it. Dorene worked 10 years with the company and acquired many skills that helped her in her many employment opportunities moving forward. Suffering hunger due to the inability to consume solids during a lengthy hospital stay in the summer of 2014 and building a relationship with God is the driving force behind her inspiration in composing this autobiography to share what it has taken to get her to a point of wanting to help others by starting and running her own nonprofit organization; You EAt I EAt Community Unity Food Pantry Corp. since 2015. Her motto is "A Helping Hand Up. Not A Handout" "With Dignity and Respect" for everyone who enters their doors. Dorene Marcus Corothers is a native New Yorker and the second youngest of six children. She grew up living with the hardship of food insecurities. These childhood difficulties would not dissuade her from aiming and achieving many goals as an adult. Dorene appreciates many genres of music. She can wake up to Gospel and end the day with R&B. She also enjoys traveling. Seeking a better life for her daughter she left New York City in 1987 and made El Paso, Texas their adoptive home.
