Synopsis: YATES: Volume One explores briefly the lives of three characters; Yates, Zion, and Tamera separately dealing with grief, resilience, and resoluteness whilst living on an imaginative and engaging world on the planet Solar Moon. Reside as a human being amongst a majority of the population being Hybrids, Zion eagerly wonders for the whereabouts of his of father's departure in aiding in the Battle Against Worlds. Tamera, another human-being, is a member of the Regional Society, who happens to be a survivor from the war and is in search of her estranged sibling in a galaxy wider than any world's ocean.

Yates, a child turned into an artificial being to further the elements of technology, is left to become an involuntary pawn for The Nefarious Organization justifications, all while dealing with the loss of loved ones and an identity crisis. Towards the end, these three characters will come across each other for what will determine their mutual purpose in life and - an exciting adventure that awaits them.

Autobiography: Jamaal Lee is an illustration artist from Elizabeth, New Jersey. He graduated from Thomas A. Edison Technical & Careers Academy, where he studied graphic design. Lee has been drawing since the age of five. His childhood favorites are the Looney Tunes, Dragon Ball Z, Rugrats, and The Simpsons. Notable artists who influenced him are Walt Disney, Bruce Timm, Jean Michael Basquiat, and Pablo Picasso. He has been praised for his own unique style of art on Social Media such as Instagram, X, and Facebook, for his vibrant coloring and abstract designs. During his high school sophomore year in 2010, Lee created his original character, Yates.
