Product Description

by Joyce Macbeth Morehouse (Author)

This is the story of a child whose uncle said when she was born, "She looks like a rat!" From that, I felt like I must have been the ugliest child ever. In spite of that, my parents made me feel that I could accomplish whatever I set my mind to. I have recorded a number of my blundering efforts here and I trust they will give you some insight into who I am. I'm thankful for my parent's encouragement as that's the way I came through life. I decided that if I wanted something badly enough, I would go for it. I made a lot of blunders but I didn't let them stop me. I was a musician in our churches, painted many pictures and gave them away to those who asked for them, was President of an International Ladies Group, taught school for more than thirty years, made numerous crafts, crocheted, tatted, and knit many items and made over fifty quilts, giving many as awards. I started writing at someone's request that I write their biography and published over 25 books while working. Since retiring, I have written as many more, this being my latest. I hope this will give you some insight as to who I am - now blind and wheelchair-bound and not much good for anything. I am thankful for my dear husband and my family and I have led an awesome, exciting life which I have enjoyed to the fullest.
