Author Biography

Karen Lee Roberts has written much children's fiction and adult poetry. She won a highly commended for her poem 'Paradox Introspective' in the competition for the International Society of Poets which was published in the anthology 'Portraits of Life'. Her first children's book to be published was ' The Big Pineapple', published through Boolarong Press in 1996. She published an article for the Brisbane City Council in their Live Guide in 2012. Karen has worked as a newsletter editor and a creative writing workshop facilitator. She has written two children's plays 'Maryanne the Chameleon' and 'Casey the Cockatoo' which were performed at the Metro Arts Theatre in Brisbane in 2013. Another of her plays 'Wilma the Wiggly Worm' continues to be developed for schools around the Queensland Metro area.
