Product Description

by Paolo Sa Pereira (Illustrator), Carol L. Covin (Author)

Learn what Grandmas and Moms would like to say to each other when it comes to raising the grandchildren. Author, and Grandmother of two, Carol L. Covin, interviewed 40 Moms and Grandmas to find out. What do new Grandmas want to be called, and why not just Grandma? Shouldn't Grandma get to pick up the baby when it's crying and let the parents sleep? Should Mom expect Grandma to baby-sit whenever she asks? Should Grandmas be allowed to spank? To correct behavior in front of the parents? To take their toddler granddaughter on a date with someone they met online? Does Grandma get to sneak candy to her grandchildren? How many times should Grandma offer a suggestion before dropping it? Do Grandmas have to keep up with the other Grandma? Who's in charge anyway? And, how does all that wisdom get passed on? Enjoy this best-selling, hilarious, practical, bi-generational book of advice for mothers and Grandmothers as they navigate the most important and heart-warming relationships in their lives, welcoming a newborn baby and learning how to be parents and grandparents. Now available in paperback.

Author Biography

Carol Covin is the mother of two grown sons and grandmother of a grandson and granddaughter, now 7. She has written 7 books, the most recent for mothers and grandmothers, called "Who Gets to Name Grandma? The Wisdom of Mothers and Grandmothers." It answers questions like, should Grandma spank her grandchild? How do you keep Grandma from sneaking in candy treats? How do you teach your daughter to feed her children healthy food? What does safety mean to Grandma? To Mom? Should Grandma leave the house without a cell phone? How do you keep Grandma out of trouble when she is just trying to help? How do you stay involved in your grandchildren's lives at a distance? This book is based on 40 interviews with mothers and grandmothers who answered the question, "What advice would you like to give the other generation about the grandchildren?" Proceeds of the books go to support Sky Blue Pharmaceuticals, LLC, founded to bring a cancer treatment to market. Enjoy getting to know what other mothers and grandmothers have to say about raising the next generation! When Mothers Talk - Cancer Walks! Covin lives in Manassas, Virginia with a sledding hill in the back yard and deer in the front yard.
