The story begins with a search for missing socks throughout a child's bedroom. It then occurs to the character that perhaps the socks are not lost but have run away. The story then takes off to this great world where the socks have taken off to and fun is being had. There is a focus on individuality, community, equality and non-judgement in this missing sock land that's made up of "smells and strong stenches and the places to rest are upon lost shoe benches". The book then goes through the great variety of socks that are found there and given fun and lively personalities. How the socks are spending their days inspires the notions of healthy transportation, fewer electronics and good hygiene.
From the first page to the last, the reader will be engaged in the easy to read rhymes and adundant variety of illustrated socks. The book is a quick and fun read that was first compiled in 2012.
