Author Biography
Bill Ogden began his forty-nine year career in the insurance business in Southern California...the setting of the three volumes of "When We Were Young With Our Corvettes...where he purchased the new 1962 Corvette featured in these adventures. A first hand witness to the youth culture of cars, surfing, and romance, he was reunited with that very same car four decades later and has taken it to an exceptional level of restoration, earning in 2011 the National Corvette Restorers Society's (NCRS) coveted DUNTOV Mark of Excellence Award. So fasten your seat belts, hit the open road, and once again experience those simpler times of the early 1960s...witness the changes in the landscape, visit forgotten places were we all hung out, and meet some of the people who were famous in the day...mostly just a memory now. Bill and his wife live near Chicago, Illinois.
