Product Description

by Gordon J. Deland (Author)

From 1869 to 1878, the Auburn Branch of the N.Y. Oswego and Midlands Railroad carried butter, cheese, livestock, lumber and our ancestors back and forth between Cortland and Norwich. More than that, it connected the township of Otselic with the civilization and culture of the other cities of New York State and to the rest of the world. Who built this railroad through the Town of Otselic? And why ? What happened to make it prosper? Why did it disappear? Discover the rise and fall of the Auburn Branch in the Town of Otselic
