Author Biography

Claire Winslow is a writer, editor, and aspiring beekeeper. She has written many books for children, including Home Is Where the Hive Is. She loves to create stories that help kids feel like their voices are heard. She lives in Chicago, Illinois, where she watches a lot of movies and bakes a lot of bread.

Riley Samels is an illustrator and member of the LGBTQIA+ born and raised in the small town of Akron Ohio. Riley went to Kent state University and Graduated with a BFA in Design and has since moved to the New England town of New Haven, Connecticut. In his free time you can find him buying another plant he doesn't need, or trying to befriend the wildlife at his local parks.
