Warped originated as Keating's one-man poetic stage show at One World Café in Moscow, Idaho, during his time as a student at the University of Idaho, where he studied under the tutelage of poets Robert Wrigley (Poet Laureate of Idaho), Monica Mankin, and Joy Passanante. Through these poems of satire, truth, and fiction, Keating hopes to connect readers with what he feels is most human about his generation of deviant artists-trying to have their voice, both vivid and complicated, heard in America.
