Product Description

by Karen Rowlands (Author)

This is an Asperger romance.A true account of how young and obsessional love turned into a nightmare marriage of confusion, anger and recrimination. The discovery of how one partner was on the autistic spectrum and their coming to terms with and coping with this enduring situation. Karen describes in her own words, with complete honesty how she survived twenty years of walking on eggshells and feeling so very alone, before turning their marriage around and rediscovering the love they first had for each other.

Author Biography

Karen grew up in Cardiff in an Asperger household before moving to the North East of England when she was 17. She met and married her now husband of 22 years and after some difficulties in their marriage and the diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome for their son, realised her husband was also on the autistic spectrum. Returning to university to study for a Masters in Autism, Karen wrote her groundbreaking dissertation on her marriage. Karen is the author of Asperger Marriage and Relationships: Insights from the Front Line and now successfully counsels partners and couples in Asperger marriages and relationships.
