His humanity's basic mechanics were so intertwined with his being's structure that they could never be separated. However, they hadn't gotten very far. They had just pried open a small breach in a door that had remained irrationally shut since the dawn of time. They needed to know why that door had never been opened previously. And beyond it, there could be a thousand more that are just as carefully secured and guarded.
