Vocabulary Workout for the SSAT/ISEE is intended to help students build a vocabulary that will help them succeed on the SSAT and/or ISEE exam (with a focus on upper level exams, though the book is also suitable for advanced middle level students). The book is composed of strategically organized lessons to help students both learn words and practice using them in written exercises. Ideally this book should be used in tandem with reading other scholarly and intellectual materials to help nurture vocabulary growth. It is a complete edition that combines the content of volume 1 and volume 2 (Note: one can purchase both volumes separately or a single complete edition that combines both volumes. Some additional material has been provided in the complete edition).
Author Biography
Justin Grosslight is an academic entrepreneur interested in examining relationships between science and business. He is especially intrigued by how networks operate (quantitatively and qualitatively), both from historical and from contemporary perspectives. He holds degrees in history and mathematics from Stanford, a history of science degree from Harvard, and has published in all three fields. He is passionate about business, entertainment, academia, and writing, and enjoys helping talented youth thrive in their intellectual pursuits.
