Product Description

by J. Parnell McCarter (Author)

This is the first in a two-part series covering US history in its gestation during the colonial era, birth as its own independent nation in 1776, and its subsequent national development. In its conception during the colonial era, the colonies that became the USA were founded as a Biblical 'city upon a hill' to the glory of Jesus Christ. In its birth as a new country, the USA under our original constitution of the Articles of Confederation was not a repudiation of the colonial Christian social order, but an effort to preserve it outside the dominion of the British empire. Sadly, this vision has been lost, progressively replaced by a model more akin to the ancient empire of Babel in rebellion against God. This history calls us to return to our Biblical foundations as a nation and people, a hope which by God's grace we have good reason to believe will yet come to pass
