Author Biography

Paul J. Andert was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 2, 1923. At the age of 17 he joined the army on May 23, 1940. Paul served as Platoon Sergeant in the 41st Armored Infantry, Company "B." He served in Africa, Sicily and Europe participating in seven campaigns and two invasions. He was wounded twice and received the Silver Star, Two Bronze Stars and Two Purple Hearts. Paul now lives with his wife in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
