A leading specialist in the field of family and child behavior, James H. S. Bossard is the author of more than thirty books, including Ritual in Family Living, and Parent and Child. He was Professor of Sociology, William T. Carter Professor of Child Development, and Professor of Sociology in Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. J. Frederic Dewhurst served as Professor of Industry at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and Chief of the Division of Economic Research at the U.S. Department of Commerce.
