The Cookie Stand takes place during the Christmas holidays. Macy is a college student who comes home during her Christmas break bringing her discouragement with her. She has seen a lot of wild, dorm life while living on campus and is dismayed by the world outside of the Christian home where she was raised. Macy lives with her Aunt Rachel following the death of her mother several years earlier. As more family members arrive, Macy's concerns are brought to light, a family anecdote is shared and encouragement is given. Macy's spirits are lifted and with new resolve, she decides to make a stand of her own. Warm characters and inspiring conversation, will keep your audience interested and entertained throughout this 15-20 minute drama. Goody Two-Shoes is a simply staged play approximately ten minutes in duration. Though only requiring two actresses and very little staging or props, this easily produced play is not to be taken lightly. The poignant conversation between the two characters may cause the audience to re-think their motives and inspiration when attempting to be of help to their neighbors.
