Product Description

by David DiYanni (Author)

This book looks at the real meaning of "turning the other cheek." It looks at Jesus' behavior when He was slapped in the face. It also explores the meaning of "an eye for an eye" This book also looks at a Biblical perspective of civil disobedience. It gives many examples of holy men and women who broke the law and were blessed by God. Civil disobedience has a strong Biblical basis that God can still use today.

Author Biography

Pastor Dave was saved in San Francisco, in the Haight Asbury District, during the hippie and Jesus People movement of the early 70's. He met his wife, Roxanna, in a Christian commune in Eugene, Oregon. They were married in 1976 and have raised six children. Pastor David preaches about the nature of God, using the language of the common man. Pastor Dave has been pastoring Vineyard Community Church in Etna, Ohio since 1978. His ministry has always been somewhat unorthodox. The church has sponsored Biker Sundays, Hunter Sundays, Jazz and Rib Festivals, Skateboard outreaches and for ten years it produced the Halloween outreach called "HellStop" that reached over 50,000 young people! The church was started by Pastor Dave with 25 people and has grown to about 400. He received his Bachelor of Theology from Christian International University. Other books by Pastor Dave: God Stories, Adventures with God, What's Your Sign, God Has Tattoos, Another Way, and Advice to New Pastors.
