Fun Activity book about Tu BiShvat
It is the day that marks the beginning of a "New Year" for trees. Commonly known as Tu Bishvat, this day marks the season in which the earliest-blooming trees in the Land of Israel emerge from their winter sleep and begin a new fruit-bearing cycle.
It is also called Rosh Hashanah La'Ilanot (ראש השנה לאילנות), literally "New Year of the Trees". In contemporary Israel, the day is celebrated as an ecological awareness day, and trees are planted in celebration.
Tu Bishvat has its roots in agricultural and ecological practices, and it is a time when the Jewish community traditionally celebrates the renewal of trees and the arrival of spring in the land of Israel. The holiday is often marked by planting trees, participating in ecological activities, and consuming fruits, especially those associated with the land of Israel.
