by Rosalyn E. Stowell (Author)
Luke found gold, started his own town and needs a wife to complete the picture. However circumstances embarrass him in Seattle so he heads farther down the coast. Finally he reaches Los Angeles in time to meet a delicate young lady. Temperance is driving her Grandfather to desperation. None of the old families will offer for his wild young Granddaughter and it wouldn't look good to sell her. Alaska is just about as far away as she can be sent without leaving the Continent.
Author Biography
The Writer has lived in Alaska since 1969 so knows a little bit about the State, even if only by osmosis. She adds a new career every decade or so. Cowboy (girl), mother (not so great), heavy equipment operator, miner, goldsmith, Registered Hunting Guide and Taxidermist, house and road builder and writer with being an artist thrown in there as a constant. Some overlap as she is old, but not THAT old.
