Product Description

by Jenny McWhinney (Author)

Weave colored thread into 12 beautiful and simple designs-- all featuring adorable bunny themes! "Thread painting" is the term for using colored thread embroidery to create artistic, dimensional images. Using Jenny McWhinney's wonderfully easy-to-follow directions, even novice embroiderers can recreate her 12 delightful rabbit-themed designs-- including bunnies watering and potting plants, harvesting carrots, raking leaves, gathering sweet honey from the hive, and picking apples. Use them on garments, household objects, bags . . . anything you want! Tracing patterns and stitch diagrams are included for every one, and 100 color photographs document the projects in various stages.

Author Biography

After a wonderful childhood of travelling the world with her family, Jenny McWhinney settled in Australia. The inspiration for her embroidery is from nature itself and her early needlework projects involved simple stitches, really just 'coloring in' with threads, the creatures she had drawn. From there, she progressed to using a greater variety of stitches and threads, achieving a more sophisticated effect with stitch direction and color, creating her now signature style. Her work is instantly identifiable and she has a strong following thanks to her many magazine articles published in Australia and internationally, and her fascinating classes conducted throughout Australia.
