Product Description

by Gay Ann Kiser M. Ed (Author)

If you've been grappling with how to write your memoir, this book was written with you in mind. In 2020, I published my own memoir (Take Three) and learned a great deal from going through the process myself. I decided to teach memoir writing classes at our local community college and assist others in sharing their stories. The adults I taught had a host of questions regarding how to write a memoir which others would read. Based on those questions, I wrote this book.

The greatest challenge some of you will face is twofold: (1) convincing yourself that what you have to say will resonate with those reading your memoir and that what you say matters; (2) figuring out how to weave your childhood and adulthood memories together in a way which translates into a theme readers will understand. Summaries at the end of each chapter are provided, as well as workbook assignments to keep you, the writer, on track.
