No one can tell what The Woods is. You have to read it and discover for yourself. What kind of place is it? What kind of reality is it? What are its shapes and forms? It is safe to say that it holds a mystery in a story of life, death and something in between. Maybe it is an existence where nothing is what it seems. It is a place where something can be anything at one point and something else at the next.
It is surely our reflection in time and space of who we are, what we think the world is like and our place in it. I couldn't tell you much else because I wouldn't want you to hold me on to it. It is safer that way.
What I would tell you is as much as anything can waste your time, I hope this won't. So taking a deep breath and simply diving in would be the way with it, although, there is no universal recipe. It is different for each individual. That is the beauty of it if I dare to describe it a bit.
So however it sounds like to you, maybe a place you could get lost or find what you are looking for, going there is totally up to you. Feel free to make of it what you will. This is yours now.
