Elaanie S invites the reader to consider the commonalities between her experiences of spiritual awakening and their own. Guiding them through a series of intellectual exercises, the reader naturally awakens to a better understanding of the obstacles which stand between themselves and a path free of fear and guilt. The Witch's Journey reviews the cultural influences of traditional religion and how the inaccuracies and deceptions of those systems permeate virtually ever facet of life and psychologically bind their followers. Throughout the process, the reader is challenged to do the work of questioning, introspection, journaling and, finally, ritual which serves to metaphorically and literally "cut the cords" which bind them to the indoctrination of Christian dogma. Author Biography
A Witch, healer, teacher and community leader, the focus of Elaanie's work has been the founding and development of Hecate's Cauldron of Mississippi, a Witch's Circle which provides support and resources to the Witch and Pagan community through education, Sabbat celebration, healing work, and the ongoing empowerment of area pagans. She is a High Priestess and ordained minister in the Temple Tradition, and serves the Sagittarius ministry of the Temple of Witchcraft in the capacity of teacher and mentor. Elaanie is a mother of five, a Registered Nurse and has an interest in the earth's remedies. She works with herbal solutions to health concerns, and blends natural teas from the earth's gifts. She is the owner of The Witch's Weeds Herbal Teas & Potions (www.thewitchsweeds.com). Elaanie currently resides in Jackson, Mississippi with her husband, Randy, and her English Mastiff, Lexie.
