Product Description

by Robby Allen (Author)

The clouds are dancing with a light in the distance creating dark shadows, the air is thick and moist. You can almost taste the darkness. A storm is brewing, and Lizzie knows she must cast her spell before the dark moon falls. The year is 1953 and something wicked threatens the witches of Waco. As Lizzie carefully ties knots into the individual rags made from her kitchen drawers, each cloth represents a member of her family and her home. Once completed, she will soak them in a protection brew made from precisely hand selected herbs grown in her garden, with hints of Lavender, Rosemary, Mint and Nettle, she heats her mother Flora's cauldron in the fire the same cauldron used for generations, lifting the old iron tub to hang on a metal pole over the fire. Sparks fly as the embers change from blue to yellow and eventually to red. The ingredients must be carefully measured and added ever so slowly. For extra protection she adds essential oils of Frankincense and Myrrh to make it just right. Keeping a well stocked magical pantry of sachets, ointments, brews, incenses and oils, Lizzie delights in putting herbs to work, aligning their powers, mingling energies as she mixes leaves and oils. For centuries, combining incenses, the blending of oils, the mixing of herbs, have been used by people to create positive changes in their lives and is a secret gift passed down through the ages. She feels the threat of the storm fast approaching and the cloth knots must be buried in the back yard before nightfall in order to keep her family safe. Weaving spells with herbs, gestures and work, utilizing the simple but potent powers that reside within the products of nature, directing them with her intent, Power flashes forth; magic is made. For Lizzie, magic is an act of love, a method of bringing light and order into her life. The basic underlying rule of all magic is Harm no one. The spell will work with proper preparation, empowerment and use. The knot spell is simply used for unwanted things such as warts or pesky neighbors, but this time, the threat is real, the intentions and ingredients must be powerful to get rid of this huge unwanted threat.Grackles' filled the trees with black shadows, the birds stop squawking.............SILENCE............................................
