Author Biography
When not writing and performing poetry, Chris Cook plays trumpet in the Spokane Symphony, and teaches music at Gonzaga University. His children's poetry is contained in If Kids Ruled the School, Rolling in the Aisles, and My Teacher's in Detention, published by Meadowbrook Press. Also, My Teacher's in Big Trouble, published by Scholastic. Chris is the winner of the Terrain 5 All-Star Poetry Slam, Spokane Poetry Slam, and the Eastern Washington University Poetry Slam. He has spent summers touring the U.S. and Europe as a professional yo-yo demonstrator, and was at one time a nationally-ranked table soccer player. He lives in Spokane with his wife and children.
