Author Biography

Margaret Tarrant is a much-loved English illustrator, specialising in charming depictions of fairy-like children and religious subjects. Born in 1888, she began her career at the age of 20, and studied at Heatherley's School of Art, in London, and then at Guildford School of Art, exhibiting her work at the Royal Academy between 1914 and 1927, and at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists. She painted and published into the early 1950s.

Katharine Bamfield is an early 20th century author, best known for her retelling the nativity story in The Story of Christmas.
