Author Biography

David works with leaders who want to get more done, build teams that care, and meet their goals. He believes skillful leaders at every level are essential to a positive future and that everyone can master the essentials of influence. In David's mind, every leader is a CBO - Chief Belief Officer! His workshops, presentations, and seminars help leaders increase their influence, solve common leadership frustrations, and improve productivity through people-centered leadership. David is a former city councilman and nonprofit executive. Prior to starting Trailblaze, Inc., David served as Chief Operating Officer for Colorado UpLift where he led efforts to replicate organizations in Phoenix, Orlando, Portland, and New York. He continues to be active in nonprofit work including serving on the Board for the Colorado Chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. David holds a master's degree in nonprofit management, is a member of the American Society of Trainers and Developers, the National Speakers Association, and regularly speaks and writes about effective leadership. He has been listed with leadership thought-leaders including Seth Godin, Tom Peters, Kouzes & Posner, and John Maxwell.
