Author Biography

Sandra Haynes is a professional artist living in the Selkirk Mountains of far northeast Washington. Her calling has always been the art world and now the rest of her life is devoted to that pursuit in her studio, art shows, writing and teaching. Driven to know her craft, she has learned and excelled with drawing, pen & ink, painting and scratchboard without formal training and continues to push forward, experimenting and reaching beyond her current knowledge. Raised in a family of talented, creative people that were knowledgeable in the ways of wildlife and woods, it was normal for her that her first pets would be two skunks and a fox, and that a drawing pencil and paper were never far away. The rest just came naturally.
