Product Description

by Dave Huffstetler (Author)

This novella, The Prophet Ezekiel, was first written about ten years ago and combines elements of emancipation, redemption, searching for truth, deception, and a generous dose of piedmont North Carolina humor. The Prophet Ezekiel tells of a young man's search for purpose and the avenues he pursues in this quest, including seeking out consorts of a shady evangelist. It is at times insightful, at times ribald, but always pure Gaston County.

About the Author
Dave Huffstetler has been writing seriously for fourteen years. He graduated from Appalachian State University in 1977 with a B.S. in English. After college he began work as a construction laborer, matriculating to carpenter, general contractor, and real estate broker. He retired from the City of Raleigh as a building inspector.
A goodly portion of his writings, including this novella, involve his experiences growing up in rural Gaston County and all the people he encountered. His writings span free verse poetry, novellas, many short stories, and one novel.
