Product Description

by Willa Cather (Author)

Willa Cather, an American author, is the author of the book "The Professor's House. After many years of writing, the book finally saw publication in 1925. Cather first penned the central narrative, titled "Tom Outland's Story."

Subsequently, she penned the two chapters that serve as the framework, "The Family" and "The Professor." The author Cather became well-known for her work that focused on the frontier and pioneering experience. In her writing, she referred to the spirit of the pioneers who moved into the western states throughout the nineteenth century, the majority of whom were immigrants from Europe. Her body of work often reflects themes such as melancholy and exile. In Cather's writing, a feeling of place is an essential component. For Cather, the physical landscapes and home spaces she creates serve as dynamic presences against which her characters battle and find community.
