THE PALM SPRINGS BEARS COOKBOOK is a mammoth gay community cookbook produced by the Palm Springs Cookbook Bears, a potluck group that started off with the idea of a different cookbook being used at every potluck ... but it turned out the members of the club didn't like rules, they just wanted to make food and have fun. When the pandemic came, the club's potlucks were suspended for a while, so the members of the club produced this cookbook, which also raises money for Well in the Desert, a local charity that feeds and assists those in need in the western half of the Coachella Valley. What could be more bearish than raising money for a charity that feeds people?
