Author Biography

Julian Lopez is the chef and owner of Cafe Beaujolais restaurant located in the town of Mendocino, California. After graduating from Gonzaga University with a operations management degree in business he spent time in Southern France, Northern Italy and Southern California developing his skills in the kitchen. With the dream of opening a restaurant he and his father Peter Lopez moved to Mendocino and took over the famed Cafe Beaujolais. The business, which has been in business since 1968, focuses on bringing quality food and experiences to locals and tourists alike.

Daniela S. Tallman is a bilingual creative consultant based in Mendocino, California. Originally from Colombia, she transitioned from a corporate career in business and supply chain to support small businesses through coaching, content, and strategy. Now living on the Mendocino Coast with her husband and their Labrador, Taco, she brings a local lens to her work. Her contributions to the Café Beaujolais cookbook reflect the warmth, craft, and seasonality of the community.

Margaret S. Fox is a celebrated chef, restaurateur, and author who transformed Mendocino's Café Beaujolais into a nationally recognized culinary destination. She owned and operated the restaurant for 23 years, during which time her focus resulted in its renowned innovative breakfast and brunch offerings. Fox authored two acclaimed cookbooks, Café Beaujolais and Morning Food, sharing her distinctive approach to seasonal, ingredient-driven cuisine. After selling the café in 2000, she continued to influence the local food scene as the culinary director of Harvest Market in Fort Bragg, California. Fox resides in Mendocino, where she remains an active figure in the community's food and hospitality landscape.
