Author Biography

Zakia Khalil was born in Khost, Afghanistan, and came to the United States with her family in 2002. She is a registered nurse (RN), and currently studies full-time at Al-Bayaan Islamic Center in Rowland Heights, California. When she is not studying, she does outreach programs with WhyIslam.org, a project of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), and writes about self-development and transformation from an Islamic perspective on her website at ZakiaKhalil.com.
