Product Description

by Dave Greene (Author)

Have you often started writing a song and got a couple of chords together and you wanted to go somewhere else with it but couldn't quite get the right chord together? How about this? You learned all the basic chords and you've written a few songs. But you want to branch out with other chord possibilities? Maybe other keys? How about learning a song in a different key? Be able to transpose a song so you can sing it better in your own range. This book will teach you how the major scale works. It will also tell you how to use it. Think of all the new chord and progression possibilities. Practical theory for guitar player/songwriters. An easy to understand tool that takes the mystery out of guitar theory. Learn the major scale and the numbering system used to compose and arrange songs. Where the numbers represent a type of chord and the type of chord represents a number. Learn chords for all 12 keys and how to use them properly, learn how to build chords, intervals, scales and modes and fret board memorization. This book is a handful of books and numerous years of experience rolled into one solid format. It has everything you need to write songs.

Author Biography

Hi! My Name is Dave Greene. I'm a singer/songwriter/guitar player. I've been playing, performing and writing songs for 31 years. I've published myself. I've been in numerous bands and projects over the years. I've been in all original rock bands, a variety of cover bands. But my most fulfilling experience has been writing my own material. I have several credits on CD's and tapes of all the different projects I've been in. I started singing at age 12 and playing at age 15. I took formal lessons for singing and I'm a self taught guitar player. I have countless hours of recording, singing, performing, playing and teaching. I still play and perform on a regular basis. In 2008 I launched BDK Music Group, LLC. Which is home to my publishing house and music school.
