Chapter 1 WATER: IT'S IMPORTANCE IN CREATION The importance of water to man cannot be overemphasized and therefore the Holy Spirit commissioned this assignment. From the modern-listed information, the reader will begin to understand how important water is to man and to God: 1. Before creation, the entire surface of the earth was covered with water. In other words, before the heavens and earth were created, all of creation was filled with water (Gen 1: 1-10). Water existed before every other creation of God It was from water that the earth was form (Gen 1:8) and the scriptures affirm that the whole earth was founded upon the waters. "The earth is the LORD 's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein" For He hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods" (Ps. 24:1-2).
