For the Elf is on a mission to protect his people from the Empire. One of the Emperor's subjects, a poor young man from the slums, heads into the wilderness to make his fortune. He finds out that being in the wilderness can be dangerous as well.
In the Emperor's keep, a young princess plots her escape. Her family died a decade ago fighting the Emperor's legions. She yearns for freedom but is destined to be married off to one of the Emperor's minions. She thinks all hope is lost, until a young prince from the north arrives.
