One of the greatest witnessing tools is the life we daily live as we interact with our peers and family. At the age of thirteen, I accepted the Lord as my personal Savior in a small church in Elyria, Ohio. Never has there been a moment in my life that I did not love the Lord and want to be faithful to him. However, divorce and the loss of two children drew me to my knees. I would need God more during these times than ever. Thankfully, my precious mother and father, Evialee and Walter Matney, taught me the ways of the Lord. They lived a life before me that at the age of seventy-four, their teaching still permeates my soul.
The devotions in this book include stories from my childhood and adolescence, and throughout the years of raising my children. It concludes my senior years-what I learned along the way. I fell on my knees, asking God for wisdom and knowledge, not knowing what to do. Experiences with the Lord gave me the hope I needed as I made my journey in life. It is my sincere hope that you will be encouraged and blessed on your faith journey.
