Author Biography

Sharon is a science educator. During her thirty years of teaching, she taught middle, high school and college science courses as well served as a K-12 school district science specialist. In retirement, Sharon began writing books for her grandchildren. This is her fourth book for her fourth grandchild. All of the books are designed for young readers to experience the joy of discovery and the wonders of the natural world as they travel with Grandma Science to amazing locations. In her first three books, readers take a beach walk, snorkel a reef, tour the Galapagos, and travel through the Amazon Rainforest. In this book, we're off on a trip to view penguins in the Falkland Islands. All books promote the conservation of the environment and the protection of endangered species. She is also the co-author of the popular STEM Series: Synergized Middle School Chemistry.
