Product Description

by Anne Tubinis Audette (Author)

Nearly twenty years following her father's death, the author came across a military shoulder patch in his army photo album. Knowing little about her father's army service, she began to search the internet using a description of the patch-black background, white eagle's head. From there she began to join together the missing puzzle pieces, even meeting men that completed basic training in the same company as her father. Tens of thousands of men trained at Camp Breckinridge. Most are gone, even forgotten. Although some trained eight weeks, the majority trained for sixteen, the focus of this book. As confidence and skills developed, kill or capture became their mindset. Follow the men to Europe, the Far East, Korea and stateside as they proudly served their country.
