Product Description

by Joseph Ferreira (Author)

I'm totally blessed to have attended Meeting Street School: basically I was an equal to my peers there. The teachers there were top notch-they taught me your basic English, Math, and reading skills, etc. They helped to develop my personality, taught me how to behave with others, use my manners and how to be polite to others. If I had my way I would have been there 24/7. All students had some type of disability and that was the beauty of it No one made fun of each other as we were all in the same boat.

When I was accepted into college, I cried simply because I never thought I would do it. I struggled going through college. I was always behind as far as walking with peers, but all of them tried to help me by carrying my books. Others took notes in class for me because my writing was so bad, and when I fell someone was always there to pick me up.. I always had a guardian angel every day.

My last job was with the state of Rhode Island and it was the best job I ever had. Paul Tavares was the first treasurer that I worked under when I worked for the treasury department. There I had the best job ever, unclaimed property. They actually paid me to find your abandoned property: It was a win-win situation. I had wonderful co-workers who always helped to do my job better, co-workers like Robert, Kevin, Patrick, Michael, Margaret, Betty, George, Matthew, Leah, and Stacey. All of you I can't thank enough. Even though I don't see you every day you are in my prayers. I want to thank my department and the rest of the treasury for giving me the best.
