These instruments are: the United Nations convention relating to the status of refugees of 1951 and its protocol of 1967, the international covenant on civil and political rights of 1966, the United Nations convention against torture of 1989 and the Convention of the Organization of the African Unity governing the specific aspects of refugee problems in Africa adopted in 1969. These instruments play a great role in favoring the implementation of the principle of non-refoulement.

Author Biography

I am Loyd Marcel MINKA; I was born on the 12th of February 2016 at the Central Hospital of Ebolowa. I did an Anglophone training system in Cameroon. I obtained my First School Living Certificate in 2004, then I obtained my G.C.E Ordinary Level in August 2009 and 2 years after, I obtained my G.C.E Advance Level in 2011. On October 2011 I started my first year Bachelors Degree in Peace and Development Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences and International Relations of the Protestant University of Central Africa found in Cameroon were I obtained my bachelors degree in August 2014. Then in October 2014 I started a Masters Degree in Human Rights law and Humanitarian Law at the Catholic University of Central Africa, were I obtained my Masters Degree in July 2016. From October 2013 to October 2014, I was recruited on a volunteer position as a Right to Education Adviser at the national NGO Bring Light and Smile in Africa (BLAS) in Africa, located at Yaoundé. From October 2014 to October 2016: I was recruited on a voluntary bases as the Junior High Commissioner in charge of Human Rights at the United Nations Association of Cameroon (UNA-Cameroon). During these two years of office, I was in charge of the initiation, planning, and implementation of activities aiming at promoting and protecting Human Rights in Cameroon. I also held the interim position as the "President of the Junior Council for Human Rights" (An organ of UNA-Cameroon) from January 2016 to July 2016. I was also in charge Reporting and Finding Issues on Human Right violations for the United Nations TRIBUNE Magazine, a magazine of the United Nations Association of Cameroon. Then since November 2016, I am the Accreditation and Legal Affairs Specialist at the NGO Accreditation Center of the "International Youth Federation (IYF)" based in London in the UK. This work is a 4 years contract with the IYF. Concerning my membership in Human Rights Defense Organizations, I can say that: -Since February 2017: I am a Researcher at the Human Rights Researchers Network of the Human Rights Consortium of the School of Advance Study at the University of London -Since December 2016: I am a Human Rights Writer and Decoder at Amnesty International, based in New York in the USA -Since April 2016: I am an Advocate for Youths Rights at the United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth (UNMGCY)
