Product Description

by Heather Kenney (Author)

Countless families are currently navigating the maze of long-term care for aging loved ones. When surveyed, the vast majority of seniors say they would prefer to live at home. Like you, many families have questions, doubts and fears. "The Home Care Handbook" was written to serve as a guide. Having served thousands of people during her career as a home care agency owner, Heather Kenney answers your questions about in-home care for an aging family member-so you can make the right decisions.

Author Biography

As the family member of a loved one receiving home care, as a professional caregiver, and as the manager of professional caregivers, Heather Kenney has experienced non-medical home care from all sides. She brings this unique perspective to work every day. Heather grew up in Pembroke, Massachusetts. She graduated from Bridgewater State College in 1991. After working for Fidelity Investments, Federal Express and Oracle Corporation, she founded and sold a staffing agency. Heather lives on Boston's south shore with her husband Liam and their 3 children. She volunteers her time with many senior care organizations and community groups, and spends as much time as possible with her children. In her spare time, Heather enjoys yoga, reading, and practicing positive thinking.
