Product Description

by Luanne Thibault (Editor), Nikhita Prabhudesai (Illustrator), Dennis Michael Dutton (Author)

The Golden Raft's story begins in the mountains of Peru during the early 1500s when the Spanish Conquistadors invaded their land. Follow this Village as they leave their homeland in search of a new life. Even The Amazon River and the Atlantic Ocean couldn't stop this band of people trying to survive a massacre.59 men, women and children without any weapons beat the odds with only what they could carry on their person. After weeks floating on rafts on the Amazon River and then trusting the currents of the Atlantic Ocean they came ashore in Northern Florida. What they left behind in their new homeland was able to change the lives of a modern day family too.
